WAEYC Professional Development Fee
Professional Development (PD) Fee – Expanding Access to Learning Opportunities
We recognize that the cost of professional memberships can be a barrier to accessing high-quality professional development. To address this challenge, we have introduced a $30 Professional Development (PD) Fee designed to increase access to learning opportunities for early childhood educators in Washington.
This PD Fee Tier for one year that includes:
✅ Free Access to WAEYC Professional Development Monthly Sessions – Gain valuable knowledge and skills through WAEYC’s high-quality professional development sessions (virtual or in-person).
✅ Discounted Registration Fee for the WAEYC Annual Conference – Attend our conference at a reduced cost and engage with experts, peers, and innovative ideas.
✅ Discounted Registration Fee for the WAEYC sponsored or partner events
Important Note: This new PD Fee only includes access to WAEYC professional development. It does not include membership to NAEYC. Those who wish to become NAEYC members and receive national-level benefits will need to apply separately for an NAEYC membership. With a NAEYC membership, you will be a WAEYC member and receive the PD benefits.
By introducing this professional development fee, we aim to make professional development more accessible to educators who may find the $72 single-tier NAEYC membership fee a financial challenge. This initiative reflects our commitment to supporting the early childhood education workforce by providing responsive and flexible options for professional growth.
