Washington STARS Washington STARS is a career development system designed to improve the quality of early care and education for all children in our state. Through increased opportunities for basic and on-going training, Washington STARS supports Child Care, Early Education and School-Age professionals to do their best work and ensure the availability of high quality care. Washington STARS provides professional development opportunities, a Registry System and financial assistance to help participating individuals meet their state requirements while achieving their professional development goals.
Washington STARS and WAEYC
WAEYC, through a contract with the Department of Early Learning (DEL), administers STARS Reimbursements, Trainer and Training approval and Provider Services.
WAEYC and DEL are committed to sustaining a system that works for all participants.
For more information, visit the STARS Registry: Your STARS ID Number Your STARS ID Number is necessary for you to access your STARS record and allows approved trainers and organizations to update your training history. All STARS participants must have a Registry record. If you do not have a number, complete a STARS ID Request. Once we process your Request, we will send you your number. If you have misplaced your number, please call us. Please do not submit more than one STARS ID Request (this used to be called the Provider Profile Form).
